When Eddy Merckx beat Ole Ritter's time in Mexico City in 1972. Ernesto Colnago in homage established a new top-of-the-line road bike. The Colnago Mexico is one of the most iconic bikes that left Ernesto's legendary factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy).
The Colnago Mexico was slightly different from the Colnago Super - built with a slightly different, lighter Columbus tubing and un-crimped chain stays - but it shared the aggressive racing geometry: short, agile and pretty stiff.

The bicycle is coated in 18k gold plating which has weather due to its age, and now shines in a stunning golden nickel coat.

Which components to choose for a Colnago top model? A top level Campagnolo groupset, of course! It is equipped with Campagnolo Super Record Gruppo.

A fine and rare bike for a collection and for a ride in original condition.
