Our limited edition Colnago Superissimo is a fine blend of classic road bicycle and modern touring parts making it an ideal bike for long distance rides or for steep climbs like at some bike events - e.g. Eroica in Tuscany.
The frameset is a classic Colnago Superissimo, made of Columbus SL steel tubing. The very special detail about this frameset is that it has eyelets for mudguards. This detail brought our team at SVB Workshop to the idea of building this custom randonneur instead of using classic Campy parts and make a "standard" vintage road bike out of it (if you can ever call a Colnago a standard vintage bicycle...).
Thus most of the parts that we used for this custom made Colnago randonneur are brand new. We picked parts with classic design that match the vintage look of the bike. The ultimate highlights of this custom made Colnago Randonneur are:
- The compact crankset matched with a long cage rear derailleur making it a real climbing beast and ready for steep Tuscan hills.
- Wide and safe Panaracer tires
- Classic silver hammered mudguards
- Rare original Colnago frameset with eyelets for mudguards. Handmade in Italy in the 1990s from Columbus SL steel tubes.
